Pushpa 2 The Rule Smashes Box Office Records, Becomes Fastest Indian Film to Cross ₹500 Crore Globally

New Delhi: The highly awaited sequel Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, has made an explosive entry into the global box office, surpassing expectations and setting a new benchmark for Indian cinema. Released on December 5, the film has already crossed a staggering ₹500 crore in worldwide earnings within just three days, achieving a feat never before seen in the industry.

Despite opening on a non-holiday weekday, the film’s performance has been nothing short of remarkable. Initial screenings on December 4 garnered ₹10.65 crore net in India, but it was on the official release day that Pushpa 2 truly made an impact. On its opening day, the film amassed ₹164.5 crore net, setting the record for the highest-ever opening for any Indian film globally. While collections saw a slight drop of 42.89% on the second day, the film still managed to secure ₹93.8 crore. By the third day, the momentum returned, with ₹115.58 crore added to the total, bringing the film’s net earnings to ₹379.28 crore in just three days.

One of the standout aspects of the film’s performance has been its dominance in the Hindi-speaking market. The Hindi-dubbed version of Pushpa 2 has contributed ₹200.7 crore to the film’s overall global earnings, proving its broad appeal beyond South India. On its opening day, the Hindi version collected ₹70.3 crore, followed by ₹56.9 crore on day two, and ₹73.5 crore on day three, further cementing the film’s pan-Indian reach.

In terms of global box office dominance, Pushpa 2 has surpassed some of the biggest blockbusters in recent memory. It now holds the record for the largest opening for any Indian film worldwide and is the highest-grossing debut for a Hindi-language film.

The sequel continues the saga of red sandalwood smuggling, where Allu Arjun reprises his role as the fierce and determined Pushpa Raj. Rashmika Mandanna returns as Srivalli, while Fahadh Faasil takes on the role of the menacing antagonist, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. The film also features a strong ensemble cast, including Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj, among others.

Pushpa 2: The Rule’s phenomenal success highlights the growing global influence of Indian cinema. With its gripping storyline, intense performances, and high production values, the film not only reinforces the prominence of South Indian cinema but also sets a new standard for box office success. As the film continues to draw crowds worldwide, it is poised to break even more records in the days ahead.
